About Us

GenNow sees today’s generation of young people as our bright future. In a world of global ideas, opportunities and solutions it is so important for our young people to feel connected to something of meaning and value to them. We believe in a sense of community, culture, connectedness and opportunity for everyone to live a life of their choice.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create thriving and connected communities where young people are empowered to live a life of purpose and meaning, a life full of choice and opportunity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide programs, supports and services that foster healthy, thriving young people with the capacity to actively engage in their families, schools and communities.

Our Values

Community: Connected, inclusive, belonging
Trust: Safe, supported, honest, professional
Choice: Your life, your choice
Respect: You, us, each other
Culture: Our stories, our history, our wisdom

Reconciliation

We acknowledge and pay respects to the Yugambeh people of the Gold Coast and all their descendants both past and present. We also acknowledge the many Aboriginal people from other regions as well as Torres Strait and South Sea Islander people who now live in the local area and have made an important contribution to the community.

Our Commitment

GenNow commits to a community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are valued and respected, and where First Australian Peoples’ cultures and knowledge form an integral part of our vision for learning, teaching and community engagement.
We also recognise reconciliation is a shared process and that every person has a role to play in effecting positive change for a better, more inclusive Australia.

Our History

GenNow staff have been actively supporting young people across the Gold Coast for over 15 years. We value our community, our environment and our people. While we live in a global society, we believe the biggest impact we can have is through caring locally. Join us on our journey to build a connected and thriving community!
